FACING OUR NEED FOR GRACE

Matthew 6:13 - "And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."

There is no temptation or sin in heaven. This prayer does not imply that God wants to tempt us. We know from James 1:13 that it is impossible for God to entice us to sin.

This kind of praying is important because it requires us to face our need for grace. It helps us to align our heart with heaven -- one of absolute dependency on God.

The phrase "deliver us from evil", as it is traditionally rendered, actually means, "deliver us from the evil one." A heart modeled after heaven has great success in spiritual warfare. Jesus was able to say, "satan has nothing in me."

The believer is to be completely free from all satanic influence and attachments. That is the cry voiced in this prayer.

HIDDEN WITH CHRIST IN GOD

We are to be the glory of His heavenly essence upon the earth. As we allow God to expose the darkness and distractions in our lives, His light and nature will supernaturally come forth in power through each of us as we advance in our DESTINY.

Romans 9:23 - "That He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory."

How does this happen? Is it because of all the good things that we do? Our perfect lives? Do we need to ascend to some measure of spiritual greatness to be used by God? Absolutely not. It is the grace of God that has made us worthy to be vessels of His presence. It is not about our perfection, our giftings, our great ability or whatever else we think might help qualify us for His work. He uses each of us WHERE WE ARE because we trust in His grace and LEARN HOW TO DEPEND ON HIS SPIRIT -- His perfection flowing through us.

INCORPORATED INTO HIS FLOW

Ephesians 3:7 - "Of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power."

It is not about our performance. He will use us powerfully because of His grace. All God looks for in us is faithfulness and a heart that has learned to hide in Him. In our walk with God one of the most valuable keys we can learn is to "hide in Him". What does this mean? God is our hideout. As we learn to yield ourselves to the Spirit, we become a hidden people incorporated into the flow of His desires.

Benefits of Hiding Out With God:

1. You discover your true identity is in Christ.

2. His grace becomes "His ability" manifest in you.

3. Through the DISCIPLESHIP of others you will be able to lead them to discover this Hiding Place.

THE FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST

Colossians 3:3 - "For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God."

When Christ died, we died. When Christ rose, we rose with Him. Christ is now seated at the right hand of God and us with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). All the work is finished. When we hideaway with God we become absorbed into His very life. With our hearts yielded to the Holy Spirit we become conduits of His presence into the earth. God will use us in power because we are simply vessels. It is Christ in us the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Just as Paul said in Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me," his life was absorbed into Christ. We move from the position of visibility into a position of being hidden with Christ in God.

AFFIRMATIONS

I take time to rest, meditating on the work Christ has accomplished for me.

I worship God from a position of being hidden in Christ.

I live in such a way that nothing ever gets bigger than my consciousness of God's presence.

He has called us not to "wonder about the future," but to create it through the knowledge of His living Word and prayer! Our Father gives His access to the future right now. To bring manifestation is to pray and believe for the reality of God's Kingdom to manifest on earth.

"Pray, then, in this way:.......on earth as it is in Heaven." - Matthew 6:9,10

We cannot afford to have a moment in our lives when circumstances distract us from tending the fire of His presence in our heart.

http://afministry.ning.com

LOOKING AT OUR WORKS

We as kings and priests in God's kingdom are the anointed ones, the sons and daughters of fresh oil, endued with gifts of power, strength, and grace to enable us to accomplish the WORK we're called to (our destiny).

"You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only." - James 2:24

Jesus is not looking at our intentions, wishes, or knowledge of what is right. He is looking at our works! Are we allowing the grace of God to produce holy living and ministering to others in our lives, or have we received the grace of God in vain?

"I know your works......" - Revelation 3:15

"So then, because youre are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth." - Revelation 3:16

Lukewarem people become like whoever they are around. Around true followers of Jesus, they can blend in with them. They know the Scriptures, sing the songs, and say the right statements. Around followers of the world they think and conduct their lives in a worldly manner, that is, selfishly. They obey God when obedience is pleasant or in their best interests. But they are really motivated by their own desires.

http://afministry.ning.com

SUNDAY SCHOOL - FEBRUARY 24, 2013

Affirmation: I apprehend the life of faith and press towards the dreams God meant for me to attain.

The whole of the New Testament, after the Gospels, has this one object: to get Christians to go on, and to go on to full growth -- into their eternal vocation -- their heavenly calling (the purpose of God for their lives). - T. Austin Sparks

As God created you and gave you birth for a purpose, you possess the potential to fulfill that purpose -- your potential is equal to the assignment. Purpose gives birth to responsibility, and responsibility makes demands on potential. - Myles Munroe

"And the apostles said unto the Lord, 'Increase our faith.'" - Luke 17:5

Jesus' example of the grain of mustard seed (Luke 17:6) underscores the truth that our faith is sufficient if we will just use it without the hindrance of unbelief. The Lord expects all of His children to live a supernatural life of faith. He gave you everything you need to do this, just let Him live through you. - Andrew Wommack

Want to move in the supernatural? Want to move in a higher level? Then go find empty vessels. We will have to go out of our typical way to find these hungry vessels. They are located outside of your comfort zone! You must go outside of your house to find them. Invite the empty vessels into your world and pour your oil into them! (2 Kings 4:1-7) - James Goll

Affirmation: I let Jesus wash my feet with a deeper revelation of Himself through His word.

We will never possess true purity without inward affection for Jesus. External disciplines and standards of holiness without devotion for Jesus have very little real power or life in them. A person named Jesus -- not rules and regulations -- guards our souls. Affection for Him creates a hindrance to the added temptations plaguing our souls. - Mike Bickle

Father, as You come, I'm purposing in my heart to furnish Your tabernacle. God, I'm going to tend my lamp and burn my incense. I'm going to come to the mercy seat -- Jesus Christ. I want you, God, and I want to prepare a habitation for you to dwell...in Jesus' name. Amen. - Ryan Wyatt

How long has it been since you felt a burning fire, a lovesick, determined passion to see Jesus? Run to Him like Zacchaeus (Luke 19:2-4) when you feel such a drawing! Get away from the distractions in the crowd of life and run and climb up into the highest vantage point there is, face-down before Him. - Hope Reeder

"And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not, on account of the crowd.....so he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him." - Luke 19:3,4

We will never fully unite with Jesus unless we face the same disillusionment process as the disciples -- one of longing and disappointment in this world. If believers who profess love for God have never been through this inward longing, their love probably has not progressed very much. - Shawn Bolz

Affirmation: I am a new creature in Christ; I am a connecting point and gateway for God's power.

Joy, along with worship and the Word of God, are the greatest weapons of our warfare. It's time to fully live the life that Christ has purchased for us. One of the greatest tools of evangelism isn't only what we say or how holy we appear to be but how filled with joy we are. - Ivan Roman

In the meditative state rivers of living water will flow spontaneously from within us just as a natural river flows spontaneously from a spring. Characteristics of spontaneous flow include a sensitivity to and willingness to follow inner promptings, awareness of creative expression flowing within, and being uncomfortable living in "boxes". - Mark Virkler

"He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water." - John 7:38

As I spend time in intercession, I will see more conversions. - Andrew Murray

Anxiety is the natural result when our hopes are centered in anything short of God and HIS WILL FOR US. - Billy Graham

Sunday School - February 17, 2013

Affirmation: I am a gateway for Heaven's reality to take over every part of my life, and the lives of people who I influence.

You attempt to move forward but you encounter resistance in the form of theft, losses, disputes, and opposition. The key to breakthrough is to not argue but adjust your plans and stay moving. You will discover room for your gifts and callings and God will reaffirm your calling, making your destiny clear. - Doug Addison

There are divine connections that needs to be made with others that are essential for all of us to be released into our ultimate purpose. - Rick Joyner

The heart of prayer is to connect with God and communicate with Him. Whereas, the heart of intercession is to bear someone else's burden. - T. A. Lewis

"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:2

As we receive fresh divine revelation we are empowered to use that revelation as a key for breakthrough. - Sandie Freed

Affirmation: I cry out day and night for the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

Each aspect of our spiritual life experience should be of such quality that the impartation of the substance of the "Word," which we receive into our spirit, will find both fulfillment and expression through us -- the Word becoming a personal reality within us, that can be "seen and handled" by all those who surround us (1 John 1:1,3). - Wade Taylor

Every truly born again child of God is given the faculty of spiritual hearing. We seek to hear what the Lord has to say to us. Are we going to hear that voice and obey? -- T. Austin-Sparks

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith." - Revelation 2:7

To be ever present with Him is to be acutely aware in every moment that He is in us and we are in Him. Out of that present awareness, that place of oneness, we will see change in ourselves, as well as in the atmosphere around us. We will begin to flow from His boundaries and borders, and not be limited any longer to our old mindsets. - JoAnn McFatter

There is no enemy more wicked or troublesome to the soul than yourself. It is because you are unwilling to yield your will to that of others, that you are still full of self-love. -- Thomas a Kempis

Affirmation: I must dig my own well. I must go deeper. I must have my own revelation from the Father of who Jesus is.

Is He the One sitting on the right hand of Majesty on high, or is He a Jesus that we have made more in the image of ourselves and still call Lord? If we desire a worldly lifestyle, which is against the flow of God's authority, we can have it by subconsciously serving "our Jesus" -- a subtle deception. - John Bevere

The Holy Spirit wants to use your life to manifest, prove, and confirm the reality of the unseen realm. - Keith Miller

God did not intend the body to relate to the spiritual or supernatural world. Our five senses are all related to the natural, physical world. God never intended man to be controlled or limited by his physical body. You were not created to be intimidated by your environment. - Myles Munroe

"Encourage one another and build each other up." - 1 Thessalonians 5:1

When a materialist encounters spiritual things, he has no box in which to put them. He either has to ignore them completely or explain them by natural means, like the bystanders who said God's voice was simply thunder (John 12, 28,29). - Bill Johnson

Sunday School - February 3, 2013

Affirmation: I choose people to associate with who who are an encouragement to me. I ignore the critics and keep on acting in accordance with my God-given vision.

God never intended for our lives to be held hostage to failure or unbelief. God invites us to peel off those labels of failure and brokenness that do not reflect His heart and begin, to move forward towards our true DESTINY. - Garris Elkins

Be open to His leading and make disciples. A baby Christian needs lots of love, affirmation, and direction. We have freely received His love and instruction, so let's freely give as He guides. - Patricia King

"Therefore go and make disciples......." - Matthew 28:19

What has imprisoned you from unleashing your God-given dreams? Only through forgiveness of offenses can we receive the faith to overcome barriers and move into a miracle-filled life. - Steve Munsey

Do you know what you were born for? When you are dying, will you know why you lived? - Cindy Jacobs

Affirmation: The power that I have been given to testify of the coming Kingdom is the power of life, which is more precious than anything I could ever possess on this earth.

To hear from God is living with expectation toward Him. Expectation places a demand on the Holy Spirit. - Steve Sampson

If we have a lack of life in our service to the Lord, our labors will be only activities, and we will not be able to meet the needs of God's children. Why? Because only life can truly meet the needs of His children. - Watchman Nee

"In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." - John 1:4,5

Love is the only thing in this life that definitely and triumphantly answers the problem of boredom. Only what you love never gets boring -- until you stop loving it. Love never gets old. Love is always young, always new, always beginning. - Peter Kreeft

Allow God to mold you through the events He allows to enter your life. This will make you flexible toward the will of God. The events of life are like a furnace for the heart. - Francois Fenelon

Affirmation: I shut the door on all the distractions of this life, and anything else that would keep me from pressing into God.

Choose today to align yourself with God. Choose today to "turn aside into the flame" of God's presence and receive fresh encouragement, fresh vision, fresh energy, and fresh oil. - Ryan Wyatt

Quietness is the incubator for the Spirit of revelation. Do you want to hear God better? Do you want to commune with Him more? Silence is golden indeed in which the Holy Spirit meets with the souls of his saints. - James Goll

"He leadeth me beside the still waters." - Psalm 23:2

The more we plug into and allow the working of the Holy Spirit, the more we embrace His work, and the more we allow Him liberty in our life. These things transform us from glory to glory. - Keith Miller

The Lord will not excuse our pride just because we sing three hymns on Sunday and consider ourselves "saved." - Francis Frangipane

SUNDAY SCHOOL - January 27, 2013

Affirmation: I hunger for and receive revelation as a part of my everyday life. That revelation will help me carry out my earthly assignments with greater precision and wisdom.

Jesus came so that His Blood may cover our sins. His grace and mercy overflow to us so that we may be all that He has created us to be. He is determined to help us find our DESTINY into His perfect plan for us. His grace has made it possible for us to see our destines fulfilled. - John Belt

"And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." - Revelation 12:11

You are important to the Kingdom of God! He needs you! God needs you to employ Heaven's authority to govern this world; the power of God gains access to this Earth through you. And through you His will is done on Earth as it is in Heaven (Mat. 3:10). You are the door by which Heaven touches Earth! - Victoria Boyson

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father." - John 14:12

Our past or present difficulties are not to become a thing that will confine us, and nor should pain become a roadblock on the path of our destiny. They are but a transition that will enlarge our territory (faith). - Catherine Brown

Affirmation: The Holy Spirit guides me unto all truth; He will inform me about what is to come.

God wants us to live daily with our spiritual ears and eyes open and illuminated so we can tap in into the fullness of the fresh oil of the Holy Spirit every day. - Keith Miller

Our victory never comes from our emotions or our intellect. Our victory comes by refusing to judge by what our eyes see or our ears hear and by trusting that what God has promised will come to pass. We will never know Christ's victory in its fullness until we stop reacting humanly to our circumstances. - Francis Frangipane

"The God of peace will soon crush satan under your feet." - Romans 16:20

Watch and wait, for the battle indeed belongs to God. Be faithful with what you can do and He will take care of the rest. - Ching Co

Affirmation: I base my prayers on God's word to bring me through difficulties and give me the victory that is mine.

Give your flesh no choice. Give it no authority. Bind self on the cross. Die to self. At the moment of salvation the process of dying to self begins as you climb to your own mountain of Calvary, and self begins losing its hold. As you continue to die to self, the flesh loses its grip on your life, and you begin to know what true liberty is -- liberty of the spirit! - Chuck Pierce

"Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:3

Count nothing as your own. Count all that the proud flesh desires as worth less than nothing. This is what it means to be "poor in spirit." - John of the Cross

"I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision." - Acts 26:19

The only way to be obedient to the heavenly vision is to give our utmost for God's highest, and this can only be done by continually and resolutely recalling the vision -- 60 seconds of every minute, and the 60 minutes of every hour -- not just in times of prayer and devotional meetings. - Oswald Chambers

Sunday School - January 13, 2013

Affirmation: I come into agreement with the Father to release me into the things He has predestined me for since before the beginning of the world.

It is High time to humble ourselves and press into God. Today is indeed the moment, hour, and day of Salvation! Christ in us is indeed the hope of God's glory. Now is our transformation time to transition into God's plan (our destiny) for Kingdom multiplication on earth. - John Mark Pool

Praying sets him who prays to "walk circumspectly, redeeming the time"; enables him to "walk worthy of the vocation (destiny) wherewith he is called with all lowliness and meekness." - E. M. Bounds

"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is." - Ephesians 5:15,16

Fire! Ours is a gospel of fire. Fire in men and women means energy, excitement, zest. The disciples had a positive, living faith, plus a pulsating energy that made them want to go. They burned with eagerness and love. -- Reinhard Bonnke

The word "redemption" comes from the Hebrew word "to tear loose and to rescue." That's what we do! We rip the person out of the hold of sin and rescue them. -- Sean Smith

Affirmation: The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

When we harbor unforgiveness we are continuing to allow the person we won't or "can't" forgive, to control us -- we can't learn to live entirely in the present because we are not yet finished with the pain of the past. In forgiving our abusers, we take back the power that God intends for all humans to have -- the power to choose to live wholly for Christ. - Mark Johnson

How desperate are you for God? Do you thirst or hunger for Him, for His presence? - Keith Miller

"My soul THIRSTS for you, my flesh LONGS for you in a dry and thirsty land where there is not water." - Psalm 63:1

If we're going to have the glory of the Lord dwell with us, we're going to have to take action and go after the Lord's presence just like King David and Solomon went after the ark of the covenant. - Ryan Wyatt

The keys to moving higher is our ability to endure and our level of true godly brokenness over what grieves the heart of God. As we face and take down our Goliaths, we will be positioned before the Lord for increase, multiplication and fruitfullness. - Matt Sorger

Affirmation: I operate in the kind of faith that receives victory and maintains that victory since I hold fast to my believing and confessing.

The manner in which He leads us into battle can vary. It could be through speaking the Word, praying strong in the Spirit, or even through strong praise (as in the case of Jehoshaphat and the armies of Israel in 2 Chronicles 20:20-24) - John Bevere

Do not listen to the voice that suggests that you live for yourself. The voice of self-love is even more powerful that tne voice of the serpent. -- Francois Fenelon

None is sufficient in himself; none is wise in himself; therefore we must help, teach (disciple), and advise one another. - Thomas a Kempis

"Give yourselves to God,as those who have been brought from death to life, & surrender your whole being to Him to be used for righteous purposes." - Romans 6:13

God is never short on words, never short on direction for us, never wanting to be far from us "in our thinking" because the reality is that He never is far from us. He is always inside of us. - John Belt

Albert Finch

http://afministry.ning.com
